Guy showed up to look at the MR2 when he said he would, took it for a test drive, made me a reasonable offer and gave us a deposit. No muss, no fuss. So we may finally have the last extraneous car sold very soon.

There is no such thing as an extraneous car.

Don't mind me asking, but how much were you asking?

I was asking $2900 because it had a miss in the engine. He contacted me the same day I fixed the miss so I hadn't upped the price yet, ended up taking $2700.
auto non-turbo model so not the high demand version.

When it sits in the driveway and gets driven so rarely the battery is dead every time you want to use it. And things like engine seals & bushings are starting to degrade from lack of use it is definitely extraneous.
Also, we had 6 vehicles in a 4-car driveway.

Nice.
Some day I'll have to buy an MR2. I think an original MR2 would make an entertaining rally car.

I do know they make great autocross cars. There was a 1st gen with a turbo and some suspension mods that was *stupid* fast in the events we used to attend.

Auto and N/A it may be, but I love that color, AMP right?

I have heard that they have a bit of oversteer if you lift off mid-corner, but I'd like to think of that as a feature.
